Separation room

The concept:

A separation room (also called a low-stimulus room or time-out) is a special room for seriously mentally ill people with disturbed anxiety and aggression regulation, who are often in psychosis at that time.

In the separation room, every effort is made to ensure that the patient cannot injure himself and all material is fire-retardant and vandal-resistant.

Separate Furniture:

Foam for Care has developed a range of vandal-resistant products for time-out situations. This material is marketed under the name FORTEX and is available in the color grey. Characteristic of this fabric is that it does not tear further and is therefore extremely sturdy.

The articles are double stitched with a special sewing thread so that the fabric forms a closed whole. In addition, the seams can be taped on the inside on request, making the article (furniture/mattress) liquid-tight at the seams. An additional fee is charged for this.

This is in combination with a high-quality and resilient core of fire-resistant foam. This complies with the high fire standard BS 5852 part 2, Crib 5. All products bear a CE mark.

Cleaning:

The cover is easy to clean and can be treated with almost all standard pH-neutral cleaning agents. The use of a scouring sponge and/or other abrasive agents is not recommended.
